Mount Royal Soaps is an environmentally conscious, local, handmade soap, sanitizer and skincare company based in the Remington neighborhood of Baltimore. Over the past three months, we have significantly expanded as grocery stores, government and corporate offices, and many others looked to us to provide soap and sanitizer as demand for the products soared due to the COVID-19 crisis. As we continue to expand, we are looking to expand our small team, and further increase our number of accounts, with a new Sales Account Manager position. We are looking for someone energetic and passionate about our brand and our mission to provide a more local and sustainable option for our city’s soap and sanitizer needs.


The Sales Account Manager will work under the direct supervision of the Sales Director and will be responsible for managing several accounts for Mount Royal Soaps. The person selected for this position will regularly follow up with clients, develop strong business relationships with current and new clients, and identify customer’s needs. The ideal candidate will have some experience with sales and account management, as well as some familiarity with Sales Force. Prior knowledge of the soap and skincare industry is preferred, but not required – we will teach you everything you need to know about our product line and mission! 


Essential functions: 

  • Work closely with the Sales Director to develop a sales plan and identify sales strategies that are suited to the target market  
  • Manage a number of accounts with little supervision
  • Take initiative to follow new leads and report back to Sales Director 
  • Build relationships with new and existing clients to maintain an open and friendly working relationship 
  • Identify customers’ needs and fill those needs in a timely and positive manner 
  • Work with the Mount Royal Soaps team to make any sales-related procedures or processes more efficient and more beneficial to clients 
  • Monitor sales metrics and suggest ways to increase sales 

Minimum qualifications: 

  • Previous successful work experience in sales
  • Prior education on an associate’s or bachelor’s degree level in business administration or sales preferred, but not required 
  • Excellent customer service skills and an ability to respond quickly to all communications
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills 
  • Knowledge of Sales Force software
